The Plano Eruv

A vital community resource, the Eruv transforms our Plano neighborhoods into a shared home. By delineating a halachik boundary, it allows families with young children and those with mobility needs to carry and move freely within the community, fostering a more inclusive and joyful Shabbos the community.

Plano is the northernmost of DFW's three eruv areas.  The map below delineates all three.

Important Note: The boundaries shown on this map are not exact. When walking close to the border, it is important to clarify the exact location of the eruv with a rabbi. For weekly status, please contact Rabbi Zakon or Rabbi Poupko.

What is an eruv?

An eruv is a ritual enclosure that extends the private domain into the community, enabling the carrying of objects outside on Shabbos while maintaining traditional halakhic standards.

The boundaries shown on the Plano Eruv map are provided for general guidance and are not exact. When walking close to the border, it is essential to clarify the exact location of the eruv with Rabbi Zakon or Rabbi Poupko before Shabbos begins.
